Green Festival
We, at Storm Festival, took it upon ourselves to making sure that the festival was ‘green’ in every possible sense. Starting from the green venue, to the placement of dustbins at regular intervals and ‘no-littering’ reminders at regular intervals, everything was planned meticulously.
Since there was a lot of speculation and concern over how music festivals could be a threat to the local environment, we meticulously devised eco-friendly strategies to protect the local eco-system and will continue to do so dedicatedly in the years to come.

The various measures that were undertaken to protect the environment around us include the following:
- All the waste was separated and recycled locally.
- Greener materials were introduced.
- Introduction of compost toilets
- Regular house-keeping techniques employed during the festival and after, to ensure that the venue remains clean and green.
- Eco-friendly cleaning products were used in the washrooms and toilets.
- Only bio degradable/ re-usable plates and cups were used at the festival.
- The tree cover at the festival wasn’t disturbed in any manner.
- Dustbins were amply placed throughout the venue.
- Signages to remind Stormers of the green cause were placed at strategic view points.
- Numerous Volunteers ensured to keep the venue litter free and they did a good job of it!
As one can see, the measures that we took to protect the nature paid off rich dividends, and most of our detractors were proved wrong. Storm Festival lived up to its reputation and has set a benchmark for other festivals to follow the ‘go green’ path.
