The locus where fantasies are woven from everyday lives. There is a land far far away, where happiness is not only prerequisite but also the only mode of survival. That’s where the Storm Festival is brewing. Just a sneeze away from Bangalore and you are amidst the lush green natural settings. About 250 kilometres from the Karnataka capital, lies a quiet lush green hamlet in the vicinity of Madikeri, the district headquarters of Coorg. This is the place where the Storm is taking a bigger, better and happier shape, to leave you with an experience to reminisce for a lifetime.
Coorg or Kodagu, is known not just for its rich flora and fauna but also for its rich cultural heritage and many legendary tales of the brave Coorg warrior community. The Festival Directors (Lavin Uthappa and Sachin Bopanna of Liquid Space Entertainment) who are proud Kodavas themselves thought it was best to begin their dream journey to chase the Storm from their own homeland. The thought was to let music aficionados from far and wide get acquainted to the beauty called Coorg and let Coorg flourish in the spotlight of awe that it rightfully deserves. And thus, India’s first authentic camp-out Music Festival called Storm was born.
The venue which was christened Stormfields right in year one, is spread across 28 acres of luxuriant greenery and thick bamboo groves. A peninsular region which is surrounded by a river on all 3 facets, Stormfields open up to multiple stages, camping and chilling areas, nestled amidst unparalleled quiet and natural beauty.
While the afternoons and evenings give you a high voltage dosage of a wide variety of music, late evenings come with an option to chill out at the camp site with unplugged jam sessions.
Life is and will always be incomplete without music. Music is change and change is vital.
