FLASHback Photography Contest

This is a contest that we’re having, in order to judge the best picture taken at the festival. There have been several entries, and only the best have been chosen for the contest. The criteria for choosing the pictures include:

Green Festival

We, at Storm Festival, took it upon ourselves to making sure that the festival was ‘green’ in every possible sense. Starting from the green environment, to the placement of dustbins at regular intervals, everything was planned meticulously. In the beginning, there were quite a few cases when people said that Storm Festival will spoil the natural beauty of Coorg. Hence, the stakes were upped, and we had to live up to the expectations.

Postponement of Storm 2011

It has been quite an eventful period of planning and production, and finally when Storm Festival is just around the corner, the weather-gods have decided to play truant. The production team of Liquidspace Entertainment has been working hard in the torrential rain, hoping that the rains might subside by the festival weekend, but that was not the case. The unexpected untimely rains during this time of the year have made the festival venue slushy and muddy and some part of the venue

A land far far away

The locus where fantasies are woven from everyday lives. There is a land far far away, where happiness is not only prerequisite but also the only mode of survival. The place where the Storm Festival is brewing. Just a sneeze away from Bangalore and you are amidst the lush green natural settings.

About 250 kilometres from Bangalore lies a hamlet, near the town of Madikeri, Coorg.

The ideation & birth of Storm.

Storm festival was an idea which popped up more than a decade ago. It was the days before the millennium and the buzzword then was “War of the DJ s”. It was Sachin (Director of Liquid Space Entertainment) who spotted the irony in this; DJ s don't have wars, they make music. So Sachin, a.k.a Tandav, came up with the concept of “United DJ‘s” a platform where various DJ s specializing in various genres of music would come together and spin their magic on one platform.
