Conceptualised over a decade ago by the brother-in-arms, Lavin Uthappa & Sachin Bopanna, Storm Festival debuted in 2012 in Napoklu, Coorg in the middle of unspoilt natural beauty. The concept of course had been a fairly unexplored territory but somebody had to tread the way. The meticulous concern towards preserving the environment happens to be just one of the highlights of Storm, besides the festival celebrating togetherness, camaraderie and a religion called Music. This is what makes it a camp-out music festival, where camaraderie lingers long after the entertainment dazzlers go off stage... An escape from the hustle and bustle of the city, an escapade to unwind the souls which are bound by the stress of everyday life.
The festival sure salutes the values of freedom but it strictly and firmly adheres to a “No Drugs” policy. Storm festival stands for one thing, that is “Responsible enjoyment.”

The festival started with a vision to create a space for oneness... Oneness with the environment, oneness amongst the lovers of all genres of music. Storm is home to this oneness and thousands of Stormers who stayed at the Stormfields. This annual open-air letter to the beauty of nature therefore became India’s most authentic camp-out music festival. Never before have over a thousand like-minded music lovers stayed together within the campus of a music festival.
Storm is a mélange of pulsating Electronic Dance Music and soul-stirring live acts set in captivating lush green outdoors. The festival is already making its presence felt amongst the calendars of music revelers far and wide. With alluring venues, a charged atmosphere and a promise to preserve and respect Mother Nature Storm takes the concept of “responsible enjoyment” to a new level.
The Storm festival in fact was conceptualized to initiate responsible tourism through music, by driving social awareness messages on relevant initiatives such as banning the usage of Plastics and Drugs. Music and an overall experience called Storm are the only highs permitted at the festival.

The first-of-its-kind camp-out music festival in India promises to fill you in with lots of great music and serenity of nature in its latest version. You can stay at the tents in the festival grounds, with all the Stormers, which makes for a rare and very real commune experience. The camping area is close enough to the music stages for you to feel connected and your tents, for you to manage that 10 minutes shut-eye.
